Sara Rockinger
My art is my voice. Sometimes it yells, cries, or speaks softly. It might express beauty or ugliness. Making art is how I make sense of the world. I communicate with needle and thread because these simple elements are universal. All humans on the planet have an intimacy with thread. I explore our relationships to place, to mass media, and ultimately to each other. The nature of my materials contributes much to the conversation.
