The Mighty Linden Tree is a beloved tree in my neighborhood. It just happens to be in front of my house.
When Covid hit and closed schools, restaurants, well... everything, I knew that parents were going to be overwhelmed, kids, would be climbing the walls, and everyone needed a distraction. So I created an art spot, like a "Little Library," a place to pick up free art supplies, and to see and show your own art under this beautiful tree! Thus...

SUMMER ART CONTEST
I AM BEAUTIFUL;
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
How it works:
1. Do some artwork (no larger than 8.5” x 11”) based on the theme:
I am beautiful; You are beautiful.
2. Bring it to The Mighty Linden Tree Public Art Gallery in the 600 block of East Cleveland St. in Lafayette.
3. Fill out an entry form.
4. Leave it in the box on my porch.
Details:
Deadline is July 31st, 2022. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 15th!
Adults must be residents of Lafayette play.
Children must be able to drop it off in person.
All artworks will be returned to the artist. Due to the nature of gallery The Mighty Linden Tree Public Art Gallery does not guarantee condition the artwork will be returned in, though we've never had a problem.
